Margot Bisnow on Raising an Entrepreneur
Hello girls and gals!
Today I’m excited to share this with you.
It’s another episode in Women in Lead.
I’m constantly connecting with and learning about girls and women who are leaders in their lives, ladies who are artists, authors, entrepreneurs, founders of for-purpose organisations, top athletes and interesting influencers.
I love hearing their story about how they’ve become leaders in their lives, communities and businesses and wanted to share their message to a community of girls and women who aspire to take the lead in their lives as well. For that, I’ve created this platform so you can learn from their insights and lessons and they can share their story.
Today’s episode is with Margot Bisnow, author of the wonderful book Raising an Entrepreneur.
Margot Machol Bisnow is the author of a wonderful new book, Raising an Entrepreneur, 10 Rules for Nurturing Risk Takers, Problem Solvers, and Change Makers. She spent twenty years in government, including as an FTC commissioner and chief of staff of the President’s Council of Economic Advisers. And eight years as editor and publisher of a popular daily online social newsletter.
She has raised two entrepreneurial sons. Her son Elliott founded Summit Series, which has grown to be the preeminent venue for young entrepreneurs, artists, activists, non-profit founders, scientists, and other leaders to discuss significant world issues. And her son Austin is a musician, songwriter & producer. He started the band MAGIC GIANT and has collaborated with many well known artists from around the world; together, the brothers formed the nonprofit Get Well Soon Tour.
Her book, Raising an Entrepreneur, has gotten a lot of praise from many strong leaders and top entrepreneurs. These lessons on how to foster an entrepreneurial spark in children have resonated deeply.[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/281122349″ params=”auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”250″ iframe=”true” /]
